"Complex aromas of chocolate, currants, berries and sweet tobacco. Full body with fully integrated tannins that give a silky texture. Lovely tannins, fruit and acid balance" James Suckling
Smoky aromas and wood flavors are still dominant in this wine even after seven years. It does have some concentration and red-berry fruits, although the structure and the tannins are still firm
"Haut couture becomes a wine! This dense purple wine has the tell-tale notes of flowers and pencil shavings, and its broad aromatics are intense and totally captivating. Powerful, rich, and full, but less tannic than the 2005 and more opulent, this is a dazzling Branaire to drink between 2017-2035." Robert Parker. 96pts
Aromas of blackberry, blueberry and licorice, with hints of tobacco and spice. Full-bodied, offering a lovely texture and refinement. Very long and beautiful, with tangy acidity and lively fruit. A rich, yet very balanced
"This big, smoky wine has great richness and a big, concentrated structure. The feel is dark, solid, based on spice, new wood and ripe black plums touched with red berries, the tannins sheltering beneath." Robert Parker
Fully mature in the color, texture and nose, you find forest floor, herbs, cherry pipe tobacco and wet earth aromatics. Medium bodied, soft, silky, elegant and with a bit of dust in the tannins, the wine ends with cocoa powder and cassis
